BIO
BLOWGOAT of South Wales are fast earning their stripes as one of the UK’s hardest working bands. With two full UK tours and numerous weekenders (inc. France) under the belts in less than a year, the band are gaining as much attention as they are momentum, with little evidence of slowing down. Their specific brand of rock n roll infused punk, laced with with riffy breakdowns, is likened to The Bronx and Every Time I Die having a bearded, drunk baby.
The band have become renowned for their wild live shows, with no face not spat in, no rafters left unclimbed and no drum kit left intact. This has led to BLOWGOAT being asked to share the stage with a long list of the UK’s finest acts in heavy music, up and down the country. The band are not here to change the world and they are not about taking things too seriously - A BLOWGOAT show is about everyone having a party, sleeveless denim & headbanging. Standard.
2012 sees the follow up to the band’s 3 Track demo, a 6 track EP (self released, 16/4). The EP was recorded at The Ranch Production House with Lewis Johns who is also responsible for Bastions, Goodtime Boys, Veils, Kerouac & Hospitals latest efforts. Early reviews praise the EP and it’s release show has become legendary, landing two members in A&E, one leaving with his leg in a cast and the other with 11 stitches in his face. BLOWGOAT are looking to book as many shows and tours as possible, and will play anywhere from a living room to a disused pizzeria (true story). The band have already begun to make waves following the EP release and will continue to do so throughout 2012.
The Year of the Goat is upon us, bang your fucking head!

‘How Blowgoat have managed to stay under the radar with these kind of songs and this kind of experience is mind blowing’

‘From the opening moments of first track ‘Slackhole’, it becomes very clear what this band is about: no fancy gimmicks, no cheap frills, just pure fucking rock & roll. If you’re looking for musical therapy because your girlfriend slept with your best friend and you want a bit of a solitary whimper, then this is not the record for you.’
